Contact Marketing NI/Favour Pet Foods, have been a customer of Datos for over 15 years and have recently upgraded to Season 12, using Office and Road.
Contact Marketing is an independent sales, merchandising and distribution company based in Randalstown, Co. Antrim. It was established in 1982 as 'Favour Pet Foods' and they distribute a combination of their own brands and private label pet products to all trade sectors, including symbol groups, cash and carry's, garage forecourts, major supermarkets and independent pet traders.
In 2009, Datos installed their fully integrated Office and Road solution. This has now grown to a 4 user Office system and 3 user Road system operating on handheld PDA's. Contact Marketing have just completed a migration of the full accounting system from COMiT to Season 12, providing the final touches to their business system.
The vans are used predominately for Van Sales and Merchandising, and carry a range of chew toys, small bags and tins of animal food. Merchandisers call on customers in the grocery trade and install, re-stock, clean and tidy the stands. They use the handheld for Customer Relationship Management, however they also have the capability of placing orders using the handhelds if they notice that stock is low.
This upgrade to Season 12, provides extensive and accurate information. It has the ability to view more information 'on screen' eliminating the need to print out reports which saves time and printing/paper costs. Invoicing includes settlement discounts and the 'Statement Centre' allows them to email, fax or print their customer statements. They will also have increased power over their stock control by using the 'Stock Forecasting' Feature which will allow them to set specific 'reorder' levels ensuring that they have sufficient product in stock at all times.
